I have read online different ways to check if catalytic convertor is clogged. I would like to know what pinging sound means when I have engine warmed up. I put vehicle in park and let engine idle. There is pinging or dinging noise coming from front of exhaust. The noise isn't erratic, it is ping---ping---ping.

Hi,

Is it possible for you to record it and upload it for me to hear? A ping from the exhaust isn't normal, but I have heard them rattle.

Also, have you experienced any power loss?

Take a look through this link and let me know if anything mirrors what you experience:

Let me know.
