Catalytic converter replacement?

Does the engine need to be removed to replace the front driver's side catalytic converter?

Is this a Cummins 5.0L engine? Either engine does not look like you need to remove the engine to change the exhaust manifold out on the driver's side. Here are the instructions so you can see how they do the job. Check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.
