It tries to shut off or cut out going down the road. It will shut off three or four times before I get it going. The colder the weather the worse it is. Could this be the catalytic converter?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

First, confirm that the fuel pressure is within the manufacturer's specs. Here are general directions for checking:

Here is a link that discusses catalytic converter issues:

Next, I have attached three pictures which are the directions specific to checking fuel pressure on your vehicle. Keep in mind, this could be something as simple as a partially plugged fuel filter. Here are the manufacturer's specs for pressure.

Fuel pressure test

Standard value .................... 343 kpa (3.5 kg/sq.cm, 49.8 psi)

Check these things and let me know what you find. I hope this helps.

Take care,
Joe
