If your catalytic converter is rattling it's bad the honey comb inside has broken loose.

If it's driving normal no power loss? it will be ok but pieces of the cat can travel into the muffler etc and clog the exhaust up.Rock auto dot com has good prices on cat's I have a 5 percent discount code if you need it.
