Catalyst and EGR codes not ready

Trying to get the car inspected, these two codes are the only ones not passing or it looks like they are not completing. After taking it to the shop, we did a factory reset. I then conducted the drive cycle. I bought my own scanner to see when and if the drive cycle worked. I have put a total of 413 miles on it after the factory reset, doing the drive cycle and also minor trips to the store here and there. Still not completing those two systems. The battery is new as of last October, and the catalytic converter was replaced about a year ago. I am seeing a lot online about the issue and certain drive cycles, but never any follow ups on whether it worked or what the solution was. Any help?

Good afternoon.

What were the codes and what repairs were done to repair them?

Resetting does absolutely nothing without diagnostics and repairs.

Below is the drive cycle. If it does not work then you have continued issues with the systems.

There are no codes, the system is just not completing. The sensors are fine. I do not exactly know how to explain. No error codes, no error pending codes either. Just says, "catalyst incomplete" and "EGR incomplete".

Okay.

The EGR, I set it like this. Warm engine. Start from the stop. Accelerate to 40 MPH without letting off the gas. Then stop and repeat. Do this three times in a row within five minutes. That has always worked for me.

As far as the catalytic converter; Warm engine and go up on an expressway. Run 55 MPH steady for ten minutes. Go up to 60 and let it coast down to 55. Do this several times. At the end of the ten minutes, pull over and do it again. Do the same procedure three times. Never touch the brakes during the ten minutes or the monitor will not run.

Not sure if my previous message sent or not. But I did the EGR drive cycle you said, still not completing.
Also for the catalyst test is it total trip time of thirty minutes or sixty?

I am also attaching a screen shot of one issue I came across on the Torque app.

Okay, if you have an advanced scan tool, you can go into functional tests and disable the eight hour soak for the EVAP monitor. Once that is done, drive the car and see if it runs the monitor and passes. If it does, then that is good. If not, then there is a problem with the EVAP system.

As far as the EGR, if it did not run the monitor, then there may be an issue with the system. It needs to be checked.
