Are you referring to the hinge on the back window?
For the window lock there is an actuator that locks and unlocks this window. What you can do is remove the hatch cover and see if the actuator is trying to move but isn't quite unlocking the latch. If it is trying to move, most likely the actuator has failed and will need to be replaced.
