I have the truck listed above that has a 1993 22R-E engine in it. I'm looking for a carburetor or carburetor kit for a 1993 22R-E Engine.
is a 22R-E Engine equal to a 2.4 L and will a carburetor from a 2.4 L work on a 22R-E Engine.

Thanks for your help.

Good morning,

The 22RE is a fuel-injected motor and does not have a carburetor.

Did you use the block and change over everything from the 1993 to the 1986?

I attached the carburetor for the 86 below for you. Rock Auto offers the carb and the kit for rebuilding. I would get the entire carburetor.

Remove the linkage to the carb. Remove the electrical connectors. Remove the inlet fuel line. Remove the vacuum lines. I suggest you mark them and also take a picture of how they are routed. Then remove the 4 mounting nuts and carb comes up and out.

Roy

1. Loosen pivot retaining screw and remove fuel metering needle, Fig. 3.
2. Disconnect fast idle link from choke lever, remove air horn screws, then separate air horn and place assembly next to carburetor body.
3. Loosen and remove fuel cut solenoid by rotating carburetor body to complete air horn removal.
4. Remove float hinge pin, the float and needle valve assembly, then the needle valve seat.
5. Loosen power valve piston retainer screw, hold piston and rotate retainer, then remove power valve piston and spring.
6. Remove outer vent control valve from air horn.
7. Remove dashpot and bracket from carburetor body, if equipped.
8. Remove slow jet, power valve assembly, metering rod guide and secondary main jet, primary main jet plug and the primary main jet and seal. Record stamped markings and installation position of calibrated components as they are removed to ensure proper assembly.
9. Evenly loosen screws securing accelerator pump housing, then remove pump housing, diaphragm and spring.
10. Evenly loosen screws securing Auxiliary Accelerator Pump (AAP) housing, then remove housing, diaphragm and spring.
11. Remove hot idle compensator cover and gasket and the thermostatic valve and seal, if equipped.
12. Disconnect idle up diaphragm link from throttle lever, then remove diaphragm assembly.
13. Disconnect choke opener diaphragm link, if equipped, then remove diaphragm assembly.
14. Remove throttle body retaining screws, then separate throttle body from carburetor.
15. Remove idle mixture screw concealment plug, rotate mixture screw clockwise until lightly seated recording number of turns necessary, then remove idle mixture screw.

I figured that since the engine was the 22RE. You can use the carburetor that I posted.

Hello again,

Since we covered the first question subject matter, you need to start a new question for the flywheel. I would be glad to help you with the question once you start a new thread.
