My car needs a carburetor. It is not working properly, start jumping when shifting gears and move back and forth between changes gears. Someone suggested to find a carburetor however I was told it is fuel injection.

Hi,

This vehicle should have a throttle body injection and not a carburetor. Have you checked to see if there are any diagnostic trouble codes that may identify where the problem is coming from? This truck has an OBD1 system and doesn't require a scanner to retrieve codes. All you need is a short jumper wire or even a paper clip. If you haven't checked, see if codes are present.

Here is a link that explains how it is done:

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
