Will not start after key fob was pressed many times

So, my sister pressed the lock button on the key a lot of times. When I finally unlocked the car and tried to start it the lights went on, but the car didn’t start after the lights came on. Ten or so seconds they cut off and the car still doesn’t start or light up. The key fob also doesn’t unlock the door. When using it I have to unlock it manually now. I don’t know what’s wrong with it. I'm not sure if the key fob has anything to do with it but I just need help.

Hello,

If I'm understanding correctly, it sounds like with the key on, you aren't seeing any dash lights, and the engine does not crank.

It's possible that the battery is bad or not making a good connection at the terminals. Here are a couple of guides that help explain how to check the battery:
