I went to start my car today and it would not start. Had no issues before. I got a jump, but right away my car sounded funny, and all my gauge needles were jumping up and down, and my inside light was blinking on and off. I tried to back up, but my engine sounded heavy and sounded like it was kicking back. I then tried to pull back into my parking spot, and my car struggled to move forward. I parked and turned off engine. Then tried to start my car again, but it was not starting. Any idea what the issue could be?

Let's remove the battery and take it to an auto parts store for testing. Either charge it fully or replace it if it was deemed bad.

Removal of the cables will sort of reset stuff, the vehicle was sensing low voltage, it needs to sense full voltage when hooked back up.

You might also have to "relearn idle". This may help it along. Let's find a nice clear un-busy road, prefer nobody back behind you. Get him up to sixty mph, then put both of your feet in the floor, not on the pedals! Coast until the just will not coast any more.

This might also help you, now and maybe later. See my link.
