I started my car no problem, then suddenly it just stopped, no splut's or splatters just stopped.

My mechanic has done a compression test on all four cylinders showing 90 psi. Fuel is getting through, changed coil pack and cam and crank sensors, charged me a fortune and car still not working. He keeps saying that the immobilizer has kicked in and I need a auto electrician, but two other mechanics I have spoken to and explained the situation seem to think it is a timing issue?

It does sounds like the timing belt has jumped. Has is been done lately?

Here is a diagram to help you confirm the failure.

Please let us know what happens and upload pictures or videos of the problem.

Cheers, Ken

We checked all this out this morning, this year has a cam chain not belt, everything seems to be in working order, so we are now doing some electrical checks.

Many thanks

They must have changed over mid year because this is what my program shows.

Can you give me the engine classification? I will get the correct info for you.

Please let us know what happens so it will help others.
