I was driving on the freeway when the engine made a weird sound like it was struggling. I noticed the car was starting to overheat. Then the car shut off, when I lifted the hood there was oil that spewed everywhere. There was a hose that was torn and popped off. I replaced the hose, but it still won't start.

Hi,

In most cases, a crank with no start is related to either a loss of fuel or an ignition spark.

Do me a favor. See if it will start using starting fluid. If it does and then stalls, we know it is fuel related. If there is no change with starting fluid, then chances are there is no spark to the plugs.

Here is a link that explains how to check:

Let me know what you find.

Take care,

Joe
