Engine cranks but does not start?

My car won’t start, it isn’t a battery issue, the motor turns over, but I think the problem either has something to do with the spark plugs or maybe a clogged fuel line. I included a video of me trying to start the engine. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Hi,

It does fire off on a couple of cylinders. So, it could be a fuel pressure, ignition, or compression issue. Did it start this all at once? Were there any indications of a problem prior to this point? Was the check engine light staying on prior to the no-start?

Before I send you different tests, I think we should pull the spark plugs to see their conditions. In reality, the manufacturer recommends replacing them at 100K miles, but you may have a couple that failed.

I need to know the engine size or the 8th digit of the VIN so I can get you the correct procedure.

Here is a link that explains in general how it's done:

Let me know.

It started all at once. The check engine light wasn't on and I don't believe there were any issues starting it before.

The VIN 8th digit is E.

Thanks for the help!

Hi,

Will it start if you press the throttle to the floor?

Also, here is a link that explains how to test fuel pressure. You will need a fuel pressure gauge. Most parts stores will lend one to you.

Let me know.

The engine doesn't start when I press the throttle down, but the sound does change a bit.

I'll check the fuel pressure next.

Hi,

Let me know about the fuel pressure. I listened to the video a few times. If the fuel pressure is good, we may need to check to see if engine compression is off. It sounds odd to me when cranking.

Let me know.
