Back in May I drove my car through a puddle and it shut off. Now if it does start it makes a terrible noise and sounds like it is only running on one cylinder and now even with a fully charged battery it wont even crank over. Any advice?

Hello,

So let's check the voltage at starter solenoid with a helper cranking the engine. Make sure if you are not using a jumper wire and you are underneath the car it is properly secured. Here is a link for you to go to for how to have your vehicle properly secured:

Also, you will be using a multi-meter to do this, so here is another link for you to go to if you are unfamiliar with how to use one:

In the diagrams down below I have included a wiring diagram of your vehicle's starting system for reference. The connection you will taking a voltage reading on is the light green or yellow/gray wire on the left of the starter on the wiring diagram. Please get back to us with what you find out and we will go from there.

Thanks,
Alex
