We thought it was the battery, so I’ve gotten the battery changed and nothing is happening. The key fob will not even work to unlock and lock the car. If I’m inside the car the car locks on the door won’t even work. But when I put the key in and turn, all the normal lights come onto the dashboard. Can anybody tell me what’s wrong with my car?

It sounds like the keyless entry module had gone out, here is the location so you can check it out. I have included the location and the instructions on how to change it out in the images below. You should be able to get a rebuilt module by searching Google or eBay. The module is just above the glove box. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on. The keyless entry module controls the starter btw.

Hi Ken! I included a video as to what is going on with the car. Is it still the keyless entry module? If so, what part am I actually looking for? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the videos, they help. I would try to replace the key fob remote or your spare key. If that doesn't work the keyless entry module would be next, also you may do a CAN scan which will bring up codes. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) from Amazon.

Here is a video to show you how:

and

Please go over these guides and report back.

Thank you so much Ken. Do I have to remove the dashboard to get to the keyless entry module? I remove the glove compartment but it’s kind of hard to see anything.

I don't think so, it looks like you can get to it by removing the glove box door. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Hey Ken, I’m a little confused. Do you see the keyless entry module here in this image?

Also, could it just be the ignition switch that’s what’s wrong with the car?

It might be, did we do the CAN scan to see what comes up? The location of the module is a little vague. Look around for the part that has the connectors featured in my first post. Let me know please.
