I changed the starter on my car but it’s not starting. It sounds like it’s going to start but won’t start.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

If the starter is turning the engine but it refuses to start, chances are either there is a fuel or ignition spark related issue. Lets start by testing for both.

First, here is a link that explains in general the most common causes of a crank no start condition:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/car-cranks-but-wont-start

Here are the links explaining how to check for spark and fuel to the engine:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-test-an-ignition-system

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-fuel-system-pressure-and-regulator

If it is at all possible, upload what is happening. If I can hear it, I may be better able to recognize an issue.

Let me know if this helps or if you need help.

Take care,
Joe
