Car listed above is an ES. The solenoid clicks but the starter wont crank. The battery is fine, no starter relay as far as I know. Any ideas?

It only started doing this after I went to a gas station, and it wouldn't start after that.

Hello,
If you are just getting clicks on the solenoid, that means that the solenoid is getting power, but the starter is not engaging. It does sound like a faulty starter.
It could also be due to corroding or loose connection to the starter.
So, checking the starter and battery cable should be the first step.
The starter is fine, and I also bought a new one and used that, but the same problem still happens. Also, I got a new battery and that didn't work. I also forgot to mention that for a while I was able to start it with a jump but then after like 5 to 7 times that wouldn't work anymore. we also tested the new battery and that should be fine too.

Found the issue the upper terminal was replaced at some time ant the person doing it did do it correctly causing it to short when the key was turned, we figured it out by using a dmm to the voltage to the starter as we turned the key and it dropped 10 volts.
