Car will not start?

One day I got in my car, and it wouldn't start. It was running fine until then. I took my Audi mechanics, 3 of them could not diagnose the problem. The last mechanic said there was a problem with the transmission communicating with system, a sensor was bad.

Did they scan the car for codes? If so, are there any stored? We need more information to help you. Is the engine not running or not cranking over (starter)? Here are two guides to help get us started on fixing the problem. Let's start with the scan needed.
