car has been running fine but now it wont run. It turns over but wont start. You can hear the fuel pump whir briefly when you turn the key. I'm not sure if it's getting a spark but can't seem to get past this point. There are no codes on the eECM and the car just turn over 121,00 miles on April 17th, the last time it ran.
Help, I don't want to start replacing parts unnecessarily or pay a mechanic who can't figure out what's wrong.

Hi,

First, take a look through this link:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/car-cranks-but-wont-start

Here is what I suggest: I would first see if the car starts for a couple seconds using starting fluid. If it does and then stalls, we know it's a fuel related issue. If it doesn't, then we know it is ignition related.

If you would rather, here are links that show how to check fuel pressure and for ignition spark:

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.
