When I tried to start the car, it would not crank. I hooked up my scanner and it showed that the two crank and the cam sensor error bad. They are buried. I looked up a harness and it showed a c. I can't find it in the jumble of wiringmder the hood. I need to find the cm and a wiring diagram to try and figure this out. Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

Hi,

When you say CM, are you referring to the camshaft sensor? Also, what codes were found? I can look up some possibilities and diagnostics if needed.

One other question, I need to know what engine is in the vehicle. There are three different 3.8L V6 engines that were used. See pic below. If you look at the VIN number at the base of the windshield on the driver's side, count in 8 digits and let me know what you find. I need that character to identify what wiring schematics are needed.

Let me know.

The DTC's are P0335 (1of3) crankshaft position sensor A circuit. B circuit. PCM, P0340 camshaft position sensor. These sensors are in a dedicated harness. I need a wiring diagram to help me figure this out. Where is the ECM located?

Hi,

If you look below, I attached the schematic related to both CKP sensors and the CMP sensor.

I had to cut the page in half to make it readable, but I did overlap them so you can follow from one to the next. Also, I did overlap the two sections so you can follow from one to the next.

Let me know if this helps or if you have questions.

Take care,

Joe
