Every time a new fuse is installed it blows immediately. Please help. Recently purchased this car from a guy who said the car wasn't starting due to a bad TCM.

This should be either a shorted starter relay or the starter motor itself, I would do the replace first here is the starter relay location and how to replace the starter motor as well, I also included the starter wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.

Thank you for your quick response. One thing I forgot to add was if a jumper wire is hooked up and touched to the battery the car will crank and start up no problem. Would that mean the starter motor itself is okay?

Hello, I just thought I would throw my two cents in. If the fuse blows immediately when you install it, then I would remove the starter relay and install another fuse. If the fuse does not blow, then that would indicate a shorted relay.

I did notice something regarding the fuse blowing. When I unplugged the wire harness that goes to the TCM the fuse is fine and doesn't burn out. If I plug the TCM harness back in, bam it's blown. Any ideas?

Which fuse number and rating is blowing? BJB (under hood) fuse or BCM (interior)?
And is this the connector you are referring to, or the actual TCM connectors?
I'm trying to trace the connection. Thanks

It's F15 fuse and the connector I'm referring to plugs directly into the TCM and is like a 48 or 56 pin plug.

Well, that confirms it. The TCM is faulty. I can't tell you how many of those I replaced. It will need to be programmed to the vehicle and the clutch system relearn procedure performed.

I ordered up a new/reconditioned TCM and installed it. Problem I'm having now is when I ran my scanner these 2 codes came up not communicating with TCM. I then checked the power from the #15 starter fuse and found one leg was a ground and the other a hot lead. Is that normal? Because I couldn't find any other fuses that tested like that?

Is this the paddle shift transmission? I have seen the clutch shift actuators go out which locks the transmission, can you confirm that you can turn the engine over manually? Use a breaker bar on the front of the engine. Can you reinstall the old TCM to see if you have the same codes? You might have a defective unit.

Has the TCM and PCM been reprogrammed? This has to be done when installing a new TCM. This is most likely the cause of your U0101 code. The P06A7 code is for the ISS2 sensor.

Is it normal for there to be 1 ground leg and 1 hot leg at the #15 starter fuse because I tested both legs and found one leg was a ground and the other a hot lead. Is that normal?

The lead going to the starter will be grounded until power is sent to it then it will energize the starter. (Blu/wht wire). If you power up the blu/wht wire does the starter work?

I just noticed that F15 isn't the starter fuse but it's actually the transmission fuse. That's the one that keeps blowing. I'm so sorry to have you guys going down the wrong path. What do you think?
