Hi,

Hoping you can help. I own a Vauxhall vectra CDTI 2006. A couple of months ago, it started to
Have problems turning over. When hot, mainly, The car will not start. All lights (apart from the engine light) and radio work along with all electronics, but the car will not turn over. By this I mean no noise, no whirling sound, nothing. Like it's not even trying. Once left for a couple of hours, the car will turn over, and once running, there are no issues, but as soon as it stops, again, mainly in heat, it will do the same.

A friend told me it could be the crank shaft sensor, so this was recently replaced, but still does the same thing. Hope you can help.

Thanks

I would start at the starter check voltage at the solenoid with he key on crank and voltage at the main battery terminal on the starter, you may also have an ignition switch problem, you need to be able to do some diagnosing while it is faulting, checking voltages and power feeds, this will be the best way to pin point the problem.
