I cut my stock radio harness (yes all the wires) like an idiot. Now I have them all rewired because i noticed I couldnt turn the key in the ignition cylinder. Still I cannot start my car, the security light just blinks and makes a ding ding ding sound. I sometimes am able to turn the key but when I do I lose all power. Power will come back on and the ignition cylinder will be locked again. Please help

Hi,

If you lose all power when you turn the key to start, the first thing I suggest is to check the battery terminals to make sure they are clean and tight.

Take a look through this link:

Next, if the security light stays on when the key is in the run position, allow it to sit in the on position for approximately 10 minutes to see if the light turns off. If it does, then see if it starts.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
