Used minivan to jump off my son's Honda yesterday morning. Car cranked fine. Jumped car off. Returned van to the garage. Later, tried to crank and would not start. All lights, radio, LED clock, etc, work fine. When I turn the key, the dash lights dim and car will not start. No click, no sound, just dash lights dim. Turned on headlights. When I tried to start, they did not dim.

Removed battery and tested. 100% full charge, no problems.

Removed starter and had it tested. Worked fine.

Multi-meter test on battery. 12.68 before start. Drops to 12.16 when trying to turning the key to start. Dash lights dim.

Multi-meter test from negative battery terminal to positive post on starter solenoid. 12.68 before start. 12.17 when trying to turning the key to start. Dash lights dim.

Multi-meter test from positive battery terminal to engine block to check ground. 12.68 before start. 12.16 when trying to turning the key to start. Dash lights dim.

Replaced starter relay. Same results as above.

See attached video of dash when I try to start.

Sorry, entered mileage incorrectly. Has 169,000.

Car is fixed. Turned out to be the starter after all. Although the old one worked during testing at AutoZone, it was actually defective. Replaced it myself. Was not too difficult of a job. Took about thirty minutes with three sockets and wrench.
