Car will not start

I get my car jumped it starts up as soon as I go to switch gears it stops and won't start back up till it gets jumped and that's the only time it starts and will continue to run

Hi,

First, are the battery terminals clean and tight? Is the battery fully charged? When you crank it without being jumped, what happens?

It sounds like a loose connection to be honest. I have seen people put jumper cables on the battery terminal and by doing so, it tightens the terminal. The car starts, and then the connection is lost when a draw is placed back on the battery.

Check that and let me know.
