2012 VW Jetta SE...the car starts (no problem); goes into Reverse/Neutral/Drive/Sport (no problem). However, when in Reverse in will not move, only rise up a little. In Drive it will not move, just dip a little. If I place enough pressure on the gas pedal the car moves, almost like the hand-brake is engaged (which it is not).
It looks like the calipers are locked on the front rotors, but I really don't know.

Please Help!!!

Hi Rahbarnett,

It sounds like you may have a broken axle, can you have a helper look at the axle while the car is in gear?

Best, Ken
