Shut off while driving, the engine cranks but does not start?

Was on the interstate the car kind of surged a couple times then quit. Now it turns over but won't start.

This engine has a timing belt which if it fails it will cause this kind of problem. Does the engine sound normal when you are cranking it over? If you are unsure, you can upload a short video so I can tell for sure if the engine is okay or not.

I have also seen the crankshaft angle sensor cause this problem, if you have no spark and the timing belt is good this is where the sensor is.
