Car starts then cuts off, will not crank until sits for a while?

Okay, so, I recently had issues with my car. I replaced the fuel pump, the crank shaft sensor, cam shaft sensor. I have even taken the fuel pump back 3 times. And replace my relays.
Still having issues. So, one day I went out to crank it up and it ran for a few minutes and cut off. Sitting there scratching my head. The key is still on. All of a sudden for a split half second you can hear the fuel pump kick on and a light on dash flash that says check fuel cap. But it's barely half a second. It happens so fast you can miss it. I'm at a loss. Please help.

That is a new one. LOL How long do you need to wait for it to restart? Is the vehicle drivable once it starts?

Do me a favor. If you have to wait an extended period of time for it to restart, see if it will start with starting fluid. If it does and then stalls, we know it is fuel related. If there is no change, then check to see if we lost spark to the spark plugs.

Let me know what you find. Because it is a newer vehicle, we may need to have the can-bus scanned for codes. CAN stands for controller area network. Basically, the different modules are tied together via a few wires. This type of scan will retrieve codes regardless of the module storing them.

I have a feeling this is what will need to be done. The idea that you hear the pump and see the light for a split-second leads me to think it is an electrical issue. Hopefully, scanning the CAN will retrieve what we need.
