Car starts sometimes

New battery installed in July. Lots of corrosion on the negative side. Needed to be jumped 2 weeks ago. Corrosion cleaned and car started. Car needed to be jumped yesterday. Corrosion is back. Battery or alternator?

This sounds like a battery problem, I would remove it and have it tested at the auto parts store, here is a video to help as well.
