Hi,
Do you mean all the lights go out when you try starting it? If that is the case, you could have a weak battery, or a very common cause is a loose or corroded battery cable.
Take a look through this link. It explains how to load test the battery at home. No tools are needed.

If the battery passes that test, check the terminals.
