Car not starting?

Car will not start turn the key and all the gauges go all the way up and lights go out.

Hi,

Do you mean all the lights go out when you try starting it? If that is the case, you could have a weak battery, or a very common cause is a loose or corroded battery cable.

Take a look through this link. It explains how to load test the battery at home. No tools are needed.

If the battery passes that test, check the terminals.
