Car started making a windy noise?

Went to move my car, put it and drive and it was going in reverse did it a second time turn it off, turn it on, put it in drive again when in reverse again. Third time turn it off and try to turn it back on and the winding noise started, and the car won't turn over? Just keeps making that winding noise. Can you please help me I've had this car for fifteen years and she's twenty-five years old and I don't want to get rid of her, but the wife is telling me to if I can't fix it.

Yep, it will make this noise when the battery is bad and needs to be replaced. If you upload a short video of the noise, I can tell for sure. It could be a starter failure. I would remove the battery and take it to the auto parts store for testing, or check out this guide:
