Car stalled while driving. Transmission rebuilt ten months ago due to bad torque converter. Thought I felt a few slips recently. Now that I had stall while driving I am thinking it may be bad torque again. Opinion appreciated.

Hello,

Yes, it sounds like the transmission has gone bad again. You can call the place that did the work it should be guaranteed for twelve months.

If they do not honor their work or try to tell you it is your fault please let me know I will call them for you.

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken

Thank you. I was told I had a one year warranty also, when I called they then stated there was a mileage o. The warranty too. This was never told to me at the time and of course they said I was a few thousand mikes over the mileage they now stated for the warranty. They told me they would not help me.

How many miles does the invoice say and are you over? If so there is nothing you can do but take it somewhere else. But we can try to do a torque converter control solenoid to see if that fixes it if not the transmission will need to come out.

Please let us know what happens.
