Hello, i have a problem with my car. Before i had my oil changed i had no lights on the dashboard. After my oil change, few days after the oil warning light flashes and my car makes sounds when I start to accelerate at lower speeds then goes off at higher speeds. This morning when i was heating up the car before i drove off, the car was making more and more sounds while stopped. Car has 129,000 miles. Let me know what the problem is ASAP. Thank you so much. There's a video of the sound below.

Hello,

Unfortunately, the video was taken inside the passenger cabin, so the sound is very muffled. A new video from the engine compartment would be helpful.
So, it is not clear if the noise is coming from the top, cylinder head, or from the bottom, crank case.
Either way you should not drive this vehicle as low oil pressure will cause mechanical damage to the engine.

Possible issues from the last oil change can be a defective oil filter, blocked oil pump pick up, especially if the engine was flushed, or too little oil in the engine.

I would suggest first checking the oil level, engine cold and having been stood for a few minutes.

A good video:

Remember, do not drive the vehicle.

Hi,

I noticed you haven't been contacted for a couple of days. By chance, have you made any progress?

I listened to the video, and it sounds like an engine knock. They may have used the wrong type of oil or there could be a faulty oil filter restricting flow.

Take a look through this link and let me know if you feel if anything mirrors what you are experiencing:

Let me know.

They told me it's the timing belt. As for the light. it's the sensor.

Hi,

That is an interesting one. It certainly wouldn't be the result of the oil change. However, it is really interesting that the timing belt started making noise and the oil pressure sensor started having issues at the same time.

Regardless, if anything changes or if you need help completing the repairs, let me know. By the way, did they suggest the replacement of the sensor or anything with the timing belt?

Let me know.

Hi,

I attached the directions below for replacing the oil pressure switch. It is sort of hidden under the engine. LOL

The first pic shows the sensor and the last two are the directions.

Let me know how things turn out for you or if you have other questions. Note: Were any recommendations provided for the timing belt noise?

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe
