Good morning, DARLA LAMB SLEDGE,
I am thinking maybe a fuel issue. Also, it could be something electrical like the PCM.
Is the engine light on? I know you said you disconnected the battery, so that would clear any codes and the light shouldn't be on. However, if the PCM is having an issue it could turn on the check engine light as soon as it is turned back on.
But let's see what you are getting for fuel pressure first.
First would you mind sending me your entire 17 Digit VIN? There is some conflicting information on my end saying that the 2010 Equinox only came with a 2.4L and 3.0L. I don't think it is correct. With your VIN I can get the exact information for your vehicle so we can start figuring out what's going on and help you a lot better.
This can be found at the bottom of the driver's side of the windshield, the driver's sides door jamb, and you will also find it on your vehicle's registration.
Thank you,
Brendon
