Car shut off while driving, lost power steering, coolant light came on, battery light, and headlight service came on, will not start?

Driving lost power then it kind of surged forward and revved up when I wasn't on the throttle. Lost all power steering. Cranked over really roughly the first couple times I tried. Now it will crank over but it will not start.

Also, it's been acting really funny with the signal lights not working then working all of a sudden. Radio lights not coming on as well. But after driving it for a but they start to work.

It sounds like the battery is shorting out internally, if the battery is more than 3 years old, I would remove it and have it tested at the auto parts store or follow this guide to see if that is the problem:
