I have a 1998 Ford Escort. I have changed the thermostat, and ensured that it has coolant. It continues to heat up way past normal, but has never steamed out. I made sure the fan is working properly. I can't figure it out. I haven't lost any fluid. Please help!

Next time this happens, turn the heater on the hottest setting and the fan on "high". If that brings the temperature down, check the fins on the radiator for a bug collection or if they're corroded. If the fins crumble or feel soft, they wont give up the heat to the surrounding air.
