my car will not move and actually seems like it doesn't engage to the transmission when i shift to any gear

Have you checked for codes in the computer yet? Also have you checked the transmission fluid level yet? What color is fluid and what does it smell like?

If the fluid is okay I would put the car in gear (parking brake on) and then look under the car to see if one of the CV axles is spinning which means the axle is broken and this will be your problem.
