I was driving my car back from work when it ran rough a few times. When I got back home I put it on the cofe reader I have and the codes p0221 and p2135 came up. The check engine light came on while in the code position but not while I was driving. It just gave me codes nothing as to what needed fixed. I was wondering if using a fuel injector cleaner would help with this or spark plugs or would it be something with the throttle body?

Hello,

Yep, you got that right, the throttle body is bad and needs to be replaced.

P0221 - Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) 2 Performance
P2135 - TPS Correlation (Sensor 1 vs Sensor 2 mismatch)

Here is the location of the throttle body and how to change it out. You can try ebay to see if they have a used unit, I have had good luck with used parts from them. Clear the codes once the job is completed. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Could I use a ratchet wrench on it or would I need to purchase a drill to torque it off and on? And how do I determine if it is single row or dual row injector?

It looks like 4 - 10 mm bolts, I would use a socket, also this car has single row injectors. let me know how it goes.

Thanks! I went to get the part at the store and didn't know which one to get. The gentleman at the shop ordered a single row one for me since they only had double row ones available!

I'm getting a mechanic to put it in. If my car needs move than the throttle body I didn't want to be stranded at home with no way to get more parts I might need.
