Car running hot engine light on

Car running hot engine light on (noticed after the car got hot). The cap to radiator was lose put in antifreeze tightened up radiator cap took for test drive still registering hot engine light stayed on.

Is your radiator fan working ? Also, are your upper and lower radiator hoses getting too hot to hold when it warms up?

Is radiator cap good and your not loosing coolant through that when the engine warms up a little?
