Car not starting?

I went to turn the car on, and it would not start. After connecting jumper cables the vehicle would still not start. The interior lights came on but were dimmed. Once connected to jumper cables it dinged to let me know the door was open but again would not start.

Hi,

When you say it won't start, is it the starter that won't engage or does the starter engage but the engine fails to start?

Make sure your battery terminals are both clean and tight. Also, here are two links you may find of interest:

i did not try to jump start it. i had no one here to help me.
