Car not starting

When you insert the key, it keep saying remove key.

Hi,

The problem is likely related to the anti-theft. With this being a 2009, the CAN bus needs scanned to determine if there are specific diagnostic trouble codes. Otherwise, it becomes a guessing game.

CAN stands for controller area network. Basically, all modules and computers are connected via a few wires. By scanning it this way, it will retrieve codes from all modules if a problem exists.

Honestly, this is what needs to be done first. If it's possible, have that done, and let me know what codes are found.

We changed the steering lock and the car started working properly.
