I have a full battery and have installed a new Starter. When turning the key it is like it doesn't have a stater, or a bad starter. Using a multimeter I can measure battery voltage on the post and the trigger wire. And the engine isn't starting. What could be the reason it isn't starting.

Hi,

If you have power from the battery to the starter and also to the trigger wire at the starter with the key in the start position, the starter should turn the engine. Are all connections tight and clean at the battery? Are other electrical components working as they should?

Take a look through this link and let me know if it helps:

Let me know.

Hi Joe,

I got some battery cleaner and cleaned the connectors and posts on the battery. That fixed the issue.

Best regards,

Ron
