car making clicking noise

Replaced a piston ,lifter,rod bearings.Engine runs smooth when started but when shifted into gear it makes a loud continuous clicking. and if you rev the motor up in park it clicks some.Called a couple places here and was told it was probably where it ad sat for a week that the fluid had probably settled in it and suggested adding a fuel additive.have't done so yet.wanted expert opinion.

.........AND YOU PUT ALL OF THE PARTS BACK IN.......IN THE SAME EXACT POSITIONS.....UP WAS UP AND DOWN WAS DOWN........SUCH AS THE PUSH RODS?

IN OTHER WORDS.......STUFF DIDN'T GET MIXED UP IN A BIG PILE AND EACH PIECE IS WHERE IT USED TO BE?
