My car has new Akebono brakes and new Monroe quick-fit front struts. I tried calling the mobile mechanic to ask why the car is making a flapping sound like a flat tire, when I turn right and accelerate. No answer from him. My brother checked the struts and found the strut bolts were loose and he had to tighten them. The flapping sound is there on the right side. Also my brother noticed that the mechanic must of had trouble installing the struts because they looked like he really used a hammer to them. What could be causing the flapping? No flapping before!

It could be. Can you get the noise on a recording? This will help us identify the noise as hearing it will help us figure out what it could be. I am thinking that it could be a faulty strut or a possible installation issue. I have installed a lot of struts and can't remember using a hammer to many times.

Let me know if you can get a recording of it and we can go from there. Thanks
