Car suddenly stopped running

My car goes in reverse and backs up, it switches gears into park and neutral , but when I switch it into drive position it seems like it does not switch the gear into drive. when I try to make it go it just revs does not move at all. to me it seems like it is not switching the gears or something. never had transmission problems with this car until now it. stop driving while on my way from work. I was driving then all of a sudden it stopped picking up speed and going from there. It still starts. I checked the oil and it still full and no leaking.

Suspect shift solenoid or valve body failure. Needs to be scanned for codes so towing to a transmission repair or dealer. Once it is coded then you will know what repair is necessary.
