Is the check engine light staying on while the engine is running? Have you confirmed the fuel pressure is within the manufacturer's specs? When you go up hill or press harder on the accelerator, it requires more fuel. It may still be the fuel pump, a fuel filter, or other fuel related issue.
Next, how was the catalytic converter cleaned? Here is a link that discusses fuel pressure testing:

Start with that. Also, if the catalytic converter is partially plugged, it can cause driveability issues. Read through these links:
