lately my car has been jerking when i slow down or push the break. It seems to be getting worse and more frequent what could be the cause of this? and would be an estimated price to get it fixed?

I did contact kia the warranty covers internal parts, but they said they believe it might actually just need a software update. Can updating software inside a vehicle correct problems like that?
