My car has some type of temperature problem. My car is overheating and I see the temperature gauge stick go all the way to hot. When I check the coolant level I saw it was low so I added coolant. But I am still have this car heating problem. I could only drive for ten minutes before my car starts to hit the hot on temperature. Also my heat in the car just does. It work.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Many things can cause an engine to overheat. Things such as a plugged radiator, bad thermostat, faulty cooling fan. bad head gasket, plugged catalytic converter, and so on can all contribute to the problem. In your second post, do you mean the heat does or does not work?

Here are a few links to look through. These links describe common causes related to the problem.

Let me know if the cooling fan is operating. Also, does the car overheat when moving at highway speed? Is there a coolant leak? Anything you can think of that may be related, let me know.

Take care,
Joe
