Hi,
Chances are it is related to the crankshaft position sensor. When they fail, the vehicle will lose spark to the plugs.

Also, have you checked to see if there are diagnostic trouble codes stored? This vehicle has an OBD1 system and doesn't require a scanner. All you need is a short jumper wire or even a paper clip. Try this and let me know if any codes are stored.

I attached a pic below showing the crankshaft position sensor location. If you have no spark, this is my first suspect.
