The car has been sitting for three years,I was out of work. I want to get it running again. I know from what I read on the net, I have to take out old gas and change fluids, but do I try and jump battery first or buy a new one?

Good afternoon,

I would replace it right away.

Do not start it until all the fluids have been changed, fuel tanks dropped, flushed out and fuel pump and filter replaced.

Then you can run it and looks for anything abnormal.
